You don’t need to spend hours creating the perfect smokey eye for everyday – 2 minutes are all you need.

Work your shadow overtime by taking it from office to bar in just 2 minutes.

You’ll need:
1 longwear creme shadow (any colour)
1 gel eyeliner pot (use brown with a light colour creme shadow, or black with a stronger/ darker creme shadow)

I used Clinique Cream Liner in 01 Black and Maybelline Color Tattoo in Pomegranite Punk

7am: Make sure lids are dry and grease-free and also that fingers are clean & dry. Using your ring finger, apply creme shadow over eyelids only. Blend lightly into the crease. Allow to set before blinking. This will be your base for the evening. Add a slick of mascara and your daytime office eyes are done.

5pm: Ensure lid is grease-free by blotting the lid with tissue (or blotting papers if you have them handy). With clean, dry fingers, smooth out any creases on the lid. Then apply a dot of gel liner in the outer corner of the eye and blend onto the outer third of the eyelid. With the ring finger of your other hand, apply the creme shadow over the inner two-thirds of the eyelid. Lightly blend the two colours together with the little finger until you’re happy that the line is softened. Don’t blend it out completely though as you’ll lose the night drama of the gel liner.

If you have an extra minute… Line lashes with the gel liner by dabbing the ring finger into the gel liner and gently pressing into the upper and lower lashline.

Here are a few more 2 minute smokey eye looks. Different colours, same technique.

Try it and let me know how it goes!
