I’ve had these Sleek Pout Paints around in my tester box for ages now and finally I’ve had the chance to use them.

This Christmas my kids have been unwell so we had a stay-at-home break. Our playtimes have included an element of fancy dress, facepaint included. The perfect occasion to get out the Pout Paints for playtime!

I don’t like posting pics of my children up publicly so instead of our fancy dress shots, here are some swatches to show the Pout Paints in action.

My shades (above) are #159 Port, #156 Peachy Keen and #155 Lava.
I bought 3 to start with as part of a Superdrug 3 for 2 across all makeup back in September. Superdrug have rarely included Sleek Makeup in their 3 for 2 offers since, so when you see Sleek on offer, snap it up!

Each Pout Paint tube holds 8ml of product and it’s very concentrated so a small drop is more than enough for the whole of your lips. They are bold, strong shades and are very highly pigmented, as are all the products in the Sleek range.

The Pout Paint texture is gel-like and goes onto lips very smoothly when applied with a lip brush. I recommend lining the outer lipline with a clear, waxy lip line fixer. That way, any smudges or mistakes will rub off easily with a cotton bud. As I said earlier, the formula is highly pigmented and so smudges will need to be removed and tidied up quickly or the colour will stay.

These are great dupes for OCC Lip Tar which are not widely available in the UK. They’re more than just colourful lip gloss, these are ready-mixed lip pigments that can be mixed and blended further to create custom shades. Great for theatrical or editorial looks.

Given the amount of product and the high pigment quality, these are great value at £4.99. There are 11 shades in the UK, and are made to be mixed. That means you can have an infinite number of shades and tones. Experiment, have fun and go crazy with these!
