Sales blurb:
Bellapierre 5-in-1 mineral foundation contains just four natural ingredients; four minerals which are kind and gentle, protective and nurturing for the skin – Mica, Zinc Oxides, Iron Oxides, Titanium Dioxide. These mineral ingredients give our 5-in-1 mineral foundation the same properties as concealer, SPF, finishing powder and setting powder (veil)! So you no longer need a different product for each job; this does it all.
FIVE IN ONE FOUNDATION:• Concealer• Foundation• SPF• Finishing Powder• Setting Powder (Veil) Sifter jar – 9g.

+ Easy to apply. I also bought the mineral foundation brush above but any soft bristled, slightly domed powder brush will do. Swift, circular motions with a light hand are all you need to gently buff the powder into the skin.

+ Natural finish Being a fine powder, once buffed into skin, pores are greatly reduced in appearance. If you want a natural look, don’t eliminate the appearance of ALL pores though, as that will leave an unnatural, almost photoshopped look.

+ Transfer-proof. This is genuinely transfer proof. If you buff into your skin properly, then you can be sure that it will stay in place all day and won’t rub off onto your crisp white shirt… or anyone elses. Not sure? Test it. After applying, pat/ lightly rub a white tissue against your face. No marks? None. I was very impressed.

+ Matte look. May be a bit too matte for me on its own. A quick spritz of fixing spray (Urban Decay being my handbag staple, and my skin was brought to life again, with added bonus of staying put all day.

Pricey. For all its benefits, it’s not cheap! The good news is that you can buy at reduced prices online.

Bellapierre products are regularly (every 2-3 months) on sale at Brand Alley & Secret Sales at 50% discount.

Also available at Naturismo for £26.99 or
CutECOsmetics for £29.99 where you can also buy trial sizes 0.5g for £1.99.

I suggest going to Debenhams (Oxford Street, London) to get yourself colour-matched and then buy online. If you don’t live in or near London, buy samples of the 3 closest shades from CutECOsmetics (£1.99 each) and test it at home.

NOTE: It does contain Titanium Dioxide which can give ‘ghostface’ under point-and-shoot camera flash. See my previous blog about this issue.

I haven’t tested whether this mineral foundation is ghostface-free or not. As soon as I test it, I’ll update the review.

Yay or nay
An emphatic Yay!
The only reason I didn’t give it 5/5 is the price. But if you buy online, it’s much more affordable. If you can, wait until Brand Alley or Secret Sales have it again. I’ll pop an alert on my Twitter (@TasnimMUA) next time they do.
