My 5 minute quick fix face look is a pretty simple one. I don’t wear makeup regularly but if meeting friends or going out for dinner, I like to keep my look polished but very light touch.
1. First thing I do is tackle my dark circles by patting a touch of Bobbi Brown Dark Peach colour corrector under my eyes. Using my ring finger, I start patting from inner corner and stopping about three-quarters along my eye, basically stopping where the dark circles stop.
2. Then I spritz my face with rose water before applying foundation.
3. I take my Real Techniques Mini foundation brush (from the Mini travel set) and swirl it in my EX1 Invisiwear concealer pot (used as foundation) or Kevyn Aucoin Sensual Skin Enhancer.
I then apply in circular motions (if EX1) or swift back and forth (if Kevyn Aucoin) buffing it quickly into my skin. I focus on the centre of my face and work outwards.
4. Once I’ve got a thin layer buffed in, I stop. You can go all the way to full cover but I like a natural look with a slightly dewy finish that still shows your natural skin peeking through.
5. I take the Real Techniques Mini shadow brush and apply a touch of face powder onto the eyelids and quickly blend.
6. A small amount of Lanolips to moisturise my lips is all I need on most days, and I can always pop a bit more colour on later in the day if I feel like it.
7. A slick of mascara (my current faves: Benefit Roller Lash, L’Oreal Paradise, Marc Jacobs) and I’m done.
