As the British Summer carries on regardless of the absence of sunshine, the summer beauty sales continue to roll on. This weekend I spied some fantastic bargains from The Body Shop.

A wide range of classics and limited edition products are up to 50% off, AND there is a discount code for 30% off non-sale items (Coupon code: 14671 to be applied at online checkout, exclusions apply). With so many fantastic deals, here are my Top 5 picks from The Body Shop sale.

1. Tea Tree Oil |20ml

RRP £8, sale price 4.80

This is one of my toiletry bag staples, particularly my summer holiday bag. I use tea tree oil for soothing spots or inflamed skin (but not broken skin as that will sting like a mofo) and this little bottle is perfect to throw into holiday essentials bag as it’s so small but a few drops will sort you right out. Also the bottle itself, while it is glass, it is very sturdy and can withstand a bit of knocking about in your bag without smashing and making an almighty mess in your toiletry bag. Bonus.

2. Tea Tree Mattifying Lotion | 50ml

RRP £9, sale price £5.40

Another skincare essential, which moisturises and provides lightweight hydration but has added shone control. I find that the effect is natural looking and not over-matte or drying, which makes it perfect for the warmer weather as you need a light  moisturiser to wear on top of your sunscreen but one that doesn’t leave a shiny residue or get greasy during the day.

3. Wild Rose Hand Cream | 30ml

RRP £5, sale price £2.50

This handbag sized moisturising cream is one of my favourites from The Body Shop. I get very dry hands all year round, and suffer from cracked, sore skin if I don’t keep my hands well hydrated. Cocoa Butter, Shea Butter and the like are great for intense hydration but I find the scent overpowering and I just can’t get used to it. Since the Wild Rose Collection launched a few years back, this has become my go-to for hand hydration. The rose scent is classic and while it is strong, it’s not overpowering. The moisturiser itself absorbs faster into my skin than the thicker, heavier cocoa or shea butter creams, and keeps me well hydrated with minimal top-ups during the day.

4. Detangling Comb

RRP £4, sale price £1

Everyone needs a good detangler. I use a Tangle Teaser for everyday brushing but use this wooden detangling comb on my hair before using my leave-in conditioner or my hot oil hair treatment. It’s durable, washes well and is good value at £4. But at £1, it’s a steal.

5. Shimmer Cube Palette

RRP £16, sale price £8

I love the Shimmer Cube palettes as they give a wash of beautiful shimmery colour and are nice and compact to slip into your travel make-up bag and then you’re set for an easy, pretty day-to-night look for all occasions. My only issue is that they are quite expensive at £16. I could buy a pretty decent high street pallette for that price. £8 makes it much more affordable and accessible.

That rounds off my Top 5 Body Shop sale essentials. If you’ve spotted any sale gems or bargains from The Body Shop sale that you think I really should check out, tweet me @tasnimMUA or let me know in the comments!
