The Maybelline Color Sensational range has been a drugstore favourite of mine since they hit stores last summer. My go-to coral lip colour of Summer 2012 was Coral Tonic (shade #422).

Sales blurb:
Color Sensational Lipcolor hydrates lips whilst delivering bright, rich, pigment- saturated coverage.Sesame seed oil and lanolin oil are known to help skin attract and bind water molecules to the surface of the lips to they feel soft and smooth. The high intensity color pigments provide ‘true color’ particles that wrap around a bright white mineral core which coats lips for supersaturated coverage and powerful color payoff.

+ Even coverage due to high pigmentation.

+ Super bright but flattering shades. The vivid colour range could have turned out quite garish but these are all wearable brights.

+ Hydrating formula doesn’t dry my lips out and I have very dry lips at the best of times.

+Great colour payoff What you see is what you get. The shade intensity on the skin is the same as it looks in the bullet.

+Good wear time for a drugstore brand. I got pretty much 4-5 hours wear before needing a quick touch-up. I always recommend you apply, then blot and reapply layers for longevity.

Shade range isn’t varied enough. The two pink shades I bought were very similar. The only reason I bought both was so I could pop one in my handbag and one in my makeup kit.

Yay or nay
Yay for sure. These are great for a winter/ springtime pop of colour and the vibrant shades will take you nicely though to summer. They’re hydrating and lasted pretty well for drugstore lipstick. I definitely recommend you pick up a red, pink and coral in 3 for 2 bundles and you’ll be set for all year round colour pop lips.
