With Ramadan in full swing, there has been a lot of coverage of the rise in mainstream fashion houses catering for Muslimah fashion. A large proportion of the coverage expresses disappointment that the mainstream brands aren’t getting it right and are way off the mark with meeting the needs of modest fashionistas.

As a young-ish and fashion-conscious Muslimah, mainstream or Western fashion houses catering for Muslimah modesty doesn’t interest me in the slightest.

Bold statement, eh? How can I be so apathetic about availability of modest wear in mainstream fashion?

We’ve got our own Asian fusion designers and retailers doing a fantastic job of catering for modest fashion needs of today’s Muslimahs and none more so than Diya Online.

Diya have been leading the pack for years and I’ve been shopping them for the past 8/9 years. Why am I so enamoured with Diya Online’s collections?

A picture paints a thousand words, so here you go…

These are all on my wishlist but I am forcing myself to just choose 1 saree and 1 kameeze for Eid-ul-fitr and Eid-ul-adha.
Check back after Eid to see which ones I’ve chosen!

Diya are available online at www.diyaonline.com and in store at their 2 Luton outlets, on Dunstable Road and Selbourne Road.
