Day 4 of the Look Fantastic beauty advent calendar showcases a winter essential, an Ultra Repair Cream for dry hands.

First Aid Beauty Ultra Repair Hand Cream

First Aid Beauty Ultra Repair Hand Cream

I have perennially dry hands and have tried so many different creams and none have quite hit the spot just yet. I’m always keen to try a new one. How did this fare? Well it was a very thick cream but I found that it is best applied in small amounts/ layers and built up. When I applied a large amount in one go, the little bits of excess did ball up but still left dry patches. It didn’t absorb into my skin as smoothly or quickly as I would have liked, and given that my hands were incredibly dry, I would have expected them to drink up the cream straight away. It’s good, but not amazing. I need something really amazing to deal with my ultra dry hands.

If you’d like to try this for yourself, it’s £8.50 for a handbag sized 2oz tube.
