A quick look of the day post from last nights dinner with friends at Coal Restaurant in Cabot Circus, Bristol.

Look of the day: Asian vintage glam

I wore a vintage mirrored lengha of my sisters from 20 years ago. This was bought back in 1995 from a store in Green Street. It came with a three-quarter length waistcoat with matching mirror detail, and a long scarf with tassels. When worn as a four-piece, the style looks a bit dated, so I ditched the waistcoat and scarf in favour of a fitted cropped jacket from H&M. I styled it with two hijabs with different textures and styles to make the look a bit more interesting. Navy satin hijab and teal blue viscose glitter hijab both from Southern Jewel.

Makeup

My current go-to skin-finish is a dewy, highlighted nude skin. I keep the cover light and sheer using a BB cream and letting some of my skins natural ‘imperfections’ show through (like my little cheek moles). Next I apply a very soft natural blush to the apples of my cheeks and blend with a shimmer bronzer, taking it from the apples to the temples. A light dusting of powder and that’s all I need. This base takes me about 4 or 5 minutes.
