Smokey eye looks are the weapon of choice from many a makeup mavens arsenal. I love a good daytime smokey eye in browns, nudes and neutral tones. Sometimes I need to up the glam factor and add a little kapow!

A couple of nights ago I attended a baby shower for a team member. I wasnt sure how dressy or dressed down it would be. I chose to keep my outfit simple and add drama with a midnight smokey eye with a twist.

Smokey eyes with EyeSpyBeauty

As always, I was running late so wanted to create a really quick look that made me feel glam. I quickly applied my base and a touch of highlighter on my cheekbones.

I then took a black chubby eyeliner (I used a Jelly Ping Pong black chubby pencil) and applied roughly from my lashline upwards but not taking it fully to the socket line.
I blended it our using a MAC 217 blending brush. I took a green pencil liner from Rimmel London and traced along my lower lashline. The look felt ‘unfinished’ so I grabbed the first palette I could find with a deep blue or green shadow and I layered it over the black for a more multidimensional look. A slick of mascara and lipstick and I was out the door.

Here’s the finished look.

Eyes: Jelly Pong Pong black chubby crayon liner, Fotune Favours the Brave. L’Oréal Showtime mascara.

Lips: Smashbox Stylist

Face: Smashbox BB Water foundation, Kevyn Aucoin Sensual Skin Enhancer. MUA Luxe Highlight stick.
