This weekend I set myself a challenge.  Could I create a wearable everyday look using a drugstore palette?

With this palette, well yes, minus the mascara and eyeliner here’s my 3-minute base.

I used the medium concealer as foundation, set with the powder, added a touch of blush on cheeks,  highlighter down centre of nose, and used the contour powder as eyeshadow.  Not bad for £4!

Here’s what the Makeup Revolution have to say about their Protection Palette.

The Ultimate Palette to Protect You. Conceal, Touch-up & Contour Kit on the Move.
Makeup Revolution’s first FACE Palette gives you everything you need to look flawless on the move. Protecting your makeup on the go in this handy do-it-all kit.

What’s in the palette? 3x Cream Concealers, 1 Pressed Powder, 1 Matte Bronzer, 1 Blusher and 1 Highlighter. That’s a lot for under a fiver.

Quality over quantity? Well, actually the concealers are really good quality pigment for a drugstore palette. They are creamier and more blendable than the E.L.F. waxy concealer palettes I also have. The powder isn’t particularly finely milled but when used sparingly it does a good job of setting the concealer/ foundation. The bronzer makes a great natural eyeshadow colour though I wouldn’t use this bronzer shade to contour as it’s too warm a tone. The blush and highlight really are lovely as an everyday blush with daylight highlight. Overall I am really loving this little palette and will be using it as my emergency make-up kit in my overnight travel bag and I’ll probably pop one in my locker at work too.

Makeup Revolution Protection Palette RRP £6, currently £4 from Makeup Revolution online store.
