My all-time favourite brow products are from Anastasia Beverly Hills… but Dipbrow isn’t ‘The One’. I’m talking about Brow Wiz of course.

When Anastasia launched her gel/mousse brow product, Dipbrow, the InstaMUAs practically wet themselves as they joyously raved about it and the make-up buying public were queueing up to buy this sold-out wonder. It took me some time to buy Dipbrow and even longer to swatch/ demonstrate the shades.

Make-up artists I respect and trust loved this, so when it came back in stock in April 2014, I bought the shades I thought I’d get most use out of.

It’s taken me ages to swatch these as I just couldn’t get excited about it. I really don’t use them as much as I thought I would. When I do, I only use Blonde and Auburn. I find the other shades are just too dark, even on black haired ladies. The darker brown shades are just too similar to be worth having them all. The promotional swatches make them look much more varied than they are on the skin.

I find I can get a more precise and natural looking brow with a fine tipped pencil or powder brow products. Perhaps, as many have suggested, I just need more practice and also I have a banging set of brows to start with (just a little sparse on outer edges)… but as pencils work fine for me, I’ll happily stick with Brow Wiz for now.
